It's very emotional to know that this does happen in life and knowing the feeling of being heartbroken to move on. In my opinion, I find this line very detailed. It has a huge meaning behind it. The boy who found 8 other talented stars and brought them all together in one inextinguishable bond of brotherhood. The boy who sacrifices countless nights of sleep to work on a new song or new lyrics. The boy who may be a tough leader on some occasions but only means well. The boy who may sometimes lose confidence with himself as a leader and a friend because he has to juggle so much but is loved wholeheartedly by his members and fans. How many idols get to say “I made it” when they debut and literally. mean. that they. personally. MADE THEIR GROUP?? Chan may have played a huge part in the Stray Kids name, their logo, and their songs but the crux of the matter is that he CHOSE his members. And I don’t mean just that he picked them and made them into a group, I mean that he chose THEM, specifically, over everything else: over sleep, over his own recognition. He’s constantly hyping up his members - this is the man who BAWLED when Minho and Felix were eliminated, who simply took responsibility and wanted forgiveness when they returned, who is just constantly in the corner squealing and hugging himself while shooting fond heart eyes at his members and encouraging them 24/7. Even before they’ve debuted Chan has made sure to establish an incredible bond with his members and convince them beyond a doubt that they, specifically, have been chosen BY HIM. He had to find his own place there. He became a trainee in one of the 3 biggest companies in korea. (Only boy out of 800 people who auditioned). He trained for 8 whole yrs. His friends debuted and he worded harder. When he was in class 9, he lived all alone in the huge dorm. Still worked hard. He was going thru so much mental. Still worked hard. Then came 7 new amazing boys in his life. (As he said "these boys came into my life and ye basically saved me"). He worked even harder. He worked till 5am in the morning, and showed up at the office at 10am. He guided his boys. After all he debuted with his most cherished people on earth. Things didn't get easy tho. He still worked hard. He slept so little, that during promotions and preparing period be got up to 6hrs of sleep a week. He (and the kids, especially 3racha) made about 100 song in 3yrs. He did vlive every week for his fans. Then he and his boys won their first win. They cried. They won their rookie of the year. They won the 2ed most number rookie of the year award. This song is pure emotion and even though the lyrics may sound “simple”(for lack of a better word; they may not be metaphors but they do have a different meaning then what is just being said), they have such a deeper meaning for both Chan and all of us listening. Music is indeed a universal language. I am never disappointed when Stray Kids writes music because they stay true to them, just like they said they would. In turn, they help so many people who are struggling and need a sort of outlet. SKZ helps people know they are not alone. This song is going to help so many people.
