*facts of the day* stray kids pronounce m.i.a as 미아/mia. 미아/mia means Lost Child/ Lost Kid in Korean. Lost Child = Stray Kid. m.i.a is also an acronym for "missing in action". + edit *again* : basically, they're talking to themselves in this song. they refer themselves as "you" in the lyrics. m.i.a, the underrated queen that i love so much. *••hello stays, let's pray the best for them. it hurts. but no matter in what situation, life goes on and therefore let's support them harder! i hope y'all are okay and please take care of yourself.*

just pointing out that M.IA stands for missing in action, which is an acronym used in the military for when soldiers are missing after battle. The song's lyrics hit harder when we know they're singing to their past selves, almost as if their smile has been fading after life's battles. A beautiful analogy to depression and growing pains.

@@lobstay id like to believe they do and probably (secretly) still stay in contact with each other. i say secretly cuz 1. relationships are part of ones private life 2. stans can be cruel... and they werent just members of the same group, theyre friends. i still tear up when i remember bang chan singing "see you again" in his vlive 🥹 it has a lot of weight and meaning i believe.. "we've come a long way from where we began, and ill tell you all about it when i say you again." as much as i would probably also get bashed for this, im always hoping that one day id see all of them smiling in the same stage once more. maybe not as ot9 skz (even tho in my head im secretly wishing), but as bangchan, felix, hyunjin, han, minho, seungmin, changbin, jeongin AND woojin. all 8th group members and a soloist, whom all have worked very hard to get where they are now. i love all of them so much 😭❤️🩹

At first I thought this song was about a long lost friend but when I saw Chan asking this to himself, that hit me hard. Every line, they wrote it for themselves... I'm sure everyone wants to tell all these lines to themselves and Honestly I'm in tears... It felt like they saw through my soul. These little kids stirring up my heart... I'm glad I found them... I just need to find myself, again. Thank you JYP, for not letting go of Bang Chan, or else, the world would miss such a splendid and beautiful creation. I just started crying oh my God All of the songs on the album really hit hard. I've been trying to find a group who wrote songs like this. Songs that so many people can relate to. In this day and age, so many people struggle with mental illness. I don't know what they were thinking when they wrote this song, so this is just my interpretation. If there's someone reading this that doesn't struggle with mental illness, I'm so happy for you. If someone is reading this and does struggle with mental illness like I do, I'm here for you. I know a lot of people kept on saying that why bother use autotune when they can use their own voices? I think using an autotune in this song is part of the concept of the album and the song. Basically , M.I.A stands for Missing in Action , as you can see in the lyrics , they are questioning theirselves that something was changed and they used THEIR VOICES to represent the sudden change of theirselves. They used autotune instead of their real voices . Autotune represent the changes of our ownselves and the missing part or action is our own voices. Do I make sense ? I'm sorry for the grammar it's bcz it's not my first language .

i've known stray kids for a little over a year now, and watching their music videos from when they first debuted makes me feel so nostalgic. all their music has meaning and feelings, and knowing that they created these kinds of songs at such a young age just makes me feel so comfortable. it's reassuring to know that they have felt or feel the same way as us, which is simply beautiful. it's amazing to stan a group as complete and beautiful as them. their ability to express emotions through music is truly special, and it connects with me on a deeper level. i love how genuine they are in everything they do
