@Hanni.skzzzz from what i understand he's talking about a lover who didn't show him love easily. he felt loneliness and coldness from them, like his feelings were deeper than his partner. there's also a line in the first verse that implies he was cheated on or maybe his lover feels like a stranger to him? i'm not sure "Why do I sense the scent of a stranger from you?"

He internalises feelings more deeply than the average person, so it's only natural that he experiences sadness more personally too. Sadness is such a huge part of his nature and it isn't necessarily bad to acknowledge it, as long as he doesn't wallow in it. As much as he loves expressing himself through sad, sorrowful works, I think it's more likely the result of introspection and healing rather than a direct emotional outlet. He's extremely emotionally intelligent and has demonstrated really good self discipline when it comes to recognising and regulating his own thoughts and emotions though, so don't worry too much.

Today we found out that Hyunjin sent gifts for Christmas at a children’s hospital in Seoul for all patients,some of the parents posted pictures of it and said that they couldn’t thank him enough for his kind gesture. Another person who works there said that he goes there often and plays with kids,he does it in private without showing off on media because that’s what real kindness is! The word perfect was made for the one and only Hwang Hyunjin,he’s an ace when it comes to being an idol,yet he’s incredibly kind and humble! I’m so glad I discovered Hyunjin and decided to stan him! He’s truly the best inspiration!

"낙서장 (Quill Pen)" is one of my all-time favorite ballads by Hyunjin. The harmonies and lyrics are so moving, they made me cry. Hyunjin is so talented, and it shows in every new song, dance, and work of art he creates. It's inspiring to see someone so passionate about their work, and I can only imagine how good it must feel to be recognized for your talent. Oh Hyunjin, you are impeccable!
